SITE SECURITY MANAGER (SSM)

Community Security Group (CSG)NSW is seeking a highly capable Site Security Manager (SSM) to become the embedded security leader at one of our key client sites. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside site leadership while maintaining the support, governance, and operational backing of a specialist security organisation.

As the Site Security Manager, you will act as the primary security representative onsite, leading all aspects of security operations, emergency preparedness, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and incident response.

You will provide visible leadership, expert security advice, and strategic oversight while ensuring the site's security program aligns with CSG's professional standards and operational frameworks.

This role suits a security professional who combines strong relationship management skills with operational excellence and a proactive approach to risk and protection.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Security Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the key liaison between CSG NSW and site leadership.

• Build trusted relationships with staff, contractors, service providers, and external agencies.

• Provide timely, risk-based security advice to executives and management.

Security Planning & Risk Management

• Develop and maintain site security plans, SOPs, emergency response and crisis management documentation.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and security reviews.

• Coordinate and oversee security improvement projects and upgrades.

Operational Security Management

• Lead day-to-day security operations and maintain a visible site presence.

• Oversee access control, CCTV, alarms, patrols, visitor management, key control, and security systems.

• Supervise and coordinate security personnel and third-party service providers.

Incident & Emergency Response

• Lead security incident response, investigation, reporting, and post-incident reviews.

• Coordinate with NSW Police, emergency services, and key stakeholders during incidents.

• Manage and evaluate emergency exercises and readiness activities.

Training & Awareness

• Deliver security awareness programs and emergency preparedness training.

• Support staff onboarding and security briefings.

• Coordinate readiness planning for events, excursions, VIP visits, and special activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in training, capability, and course development, within the communal security environment.

Team and Volunteer Management: Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and integrate volunteer workforces into formal operations.

Strategic Delivery: Proven record of designing and leading training strategies at scale, with measurable outcomes.

Community-Focused: Experience working in or with Jewish communities and institutions as well as volunteers.

Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Strong Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively problem-solve and make decisions.
