In 2025, antisemitism in Australia evolved beyond social hostility and isolated hate incidents into a sustained, multisource security threat affecting the Jewish community across the country. This escalation culminated in the most lethal terrorist attack in Australia’s history: the murder of Jewish community members and others gathered at Bondi Beach during a Chanukah celebration.
