We exist to keep our community safe and secure.

You probably know us from our visible presence at Synagogues, Jewish events and institutions. Our highly trained volunteers and operational support staff are ever-present, providing on-site security and ensuring the safety of our community.

Even when you don’t see us, we’re always here – analysing and monitoring threats around the clock – providing a 24/7 community response network, 365 days of the year.

Our people

CSG NSW is led by a specialised professional team and supported by a diverse group of highly trained, engaged and passionate volunteers. Together, we provide security and empower our Community to participate in and celebrate all aspects of Jewish life.

As well as providing security and support services, we act as the central point for gathering and sharing information about the safety of our Community.

Volunteers and professional staff alike, we are always here because we are part of our community. We feel at home. Many of us started as volunteers and have built on this experience in our careers here.

From security operations, to research, community training and everything else we do, our success is reliant on the relationships we have with our community and each other.

Through our resources and infrastructure we are always here to offer advice, assistance and to empower our community to feel strengthened and protected.

Our funding and infrastructure

CSG NSW is funded by the NSW Jewish Community through the Council for Jewish Community Security (CJCS) NSW.

In addition to being funded by the Jewish Communal Appeal (JCA), other communal organisations and Synagogue members, CJCS NSW has received State and Federal grants to build and develop state of the art security infrastructure, including community-wide CCTV and the CSG NSW Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Our staff and volunteers are highly trained, experienced, and focused on our mission of protecting Jewish life and Jewish way of life.
