About Us

We're always here

We exist to protect Jewish life and Jewish way of life in NSW.

CSG NSW provides security, advice, assistance and security or crisis deployment to the NSW Jewish Community. We provide professional security services, and consult to the community to ensure adequate physical security solutions are provided.

Most importantly, we provide our Community with the tools they need to stay connected to us, and assured that our unique security requirements are given priority.

Security, safety, community

CSG NSW is lead by a specialised professional team and supported by a diverse group of highly trained, engaged and passionate volunteers. Together, we provide security so that our Community can participate in and celebrate all aspects of Jewish life.

As well as providing security and support services, we act as the central point for gathering and sharing information about the safety of our Community.

Our Services

Provision of Trained Ushers & Security Personnel

Provision of Trained Ushers & Security Personnel

We provide resources (including trained community ushers and security personnel) to Community organisations - like synagogues and schools - and at communal events.

We have a dedicated team of professional staff and highly trained volunteers who assist us in delivering this service.

If you are organising an event for the Jewish Community and aren't sure whether you need security - or would like CSG NSW to support your event - please get in touch with us.

Advice

Advice

We provide advice to the NSW Jewish Community on how to keep our buildings, schools, events and people safe. This includes consulting with community groups, institutions and individuals about the current local and global security environment.

Our vibrant community is our greatest asset. You can contact CSG NSW if you ever feel uneasy or need security advice. This is just one way that we work to make sure that all Jewish people in NSW feel at home, anywhere.

Control and Crisis Centre

Control and Crisis Centre

We have worked closely with the Community to manage the installation, maintenance and future development of a closed-circuit-television (CCTV) infrastructure at Jewish Community institutions. This extensive network is monitored through our Control & Crisis Centre.

This infrastructure helps our Community feel safe. It also helps us deter and detect threats at community buildings, and assists with the follow up of incidents and threats.

Community Awareness & Training

Community Awareness & Training

We regularly provide training to our volunteers and other members of our community. Our training takes many forms. From providing hand to hand combat and self defence training, to advising on how to manage emergency situations or recognising and reporting suspicious activity. Our focus is on ensuring our community has increased awareness, and our volunteers are able to fulfil a variety of roles, from supporting operations, to the provision of both trained ushers and security guards to community events.

Security and safety awareness training helps our community become more secure, resilient, and helps us to connect with our community.

Threat and Risk Analysis

Threat and Risk Analysis

CSG staff have undergone specialist training to professionally respond to, assess, record and triage antisemitic and other security incidents.

CSG provides threat and risk assessments and security and incident advice to victims and witnesses.

We encourage you to connect with us. If you feel uneasy or notice something not quite right, you can get in touch with us. No concern is too small. CSG respects the wishes and needs of incident victims including victim confidentiality and liaison with law enforcement.

Consulting

Consulting

Our experienced and professional staff consult to Synagogues and Jewish Schools and Institutions about their specific physical security requirements.

These protective measures, including the use of bollards, ensure that our communal facilities and the people they hold are protected and secure.

24 Hour Community Security & Crisis Deployment

24 Hour Community Security & Crisis Deployment

In the event of a communal security emergency or crisis, CSG NSW is able to deploy a team of trained security personnel if required.

Remember, in an emergency, always call 000 first, and then CSG on 1300 000 CSG (274). The operator will record your contact details, and one of our team will contact you immediately to discuss your situation. Alternatively, you can connect with CSG NSW through the CSG Alert app.

Crisis and Emergency Planning

Crisis and Emergency Planning

CSG NSW has extensive plans in place to deal with and manage a security related communal crisis, should it occur.

We encourage Community members to connect with us, to ensure that they receive the most relevant and timely information in the event of a security emergency or crisis situation.
